I write on a wide range of topics, although it has to be said that I am rather fond of footwear, and anything that helps to keep the feet in perfect condition.

If you look after the feet, the rest of the body looks after itself as the phrase goes. There is certainly a lot to be said for spending a little time and effort on keeping the feet healthy.

When foot pain strikes, you quickly reseal how much you use your feet, and also how much you take them for granted. For instance, plantar fasciitis has been estimated to affect around 10% of the population of the US, and in almost all cases it is pain which can be easily avoided. I’ve had it, and I recommend taking some proactive steps to avoid it.

Fortunately, the great thing about the majority of foot problems is that they can be easily avoided. Choose the right shoes, replace athletic shoes frequently as the wear out – that’s every 500 miles as a general rule - and spot the telltale signs of foot conditions early, and you can take action to correct them before they become a problem. Spend a little time looking after your fet, and they will stay healthy and pain free.

BTW, as a cat lover, this profile is named after my own moggy; Michifus; a rather imaginative name which means “pussycat” in Argentinean Spanish.
